Editorial policy

Source standards, claim boundaries, ownership disclosures and revision rules for the CodySchuldt.wiki reference publication.

In brief

Material factual claims must have inspectable sources, clear scope and honest limitations. This publication distinguishes direct observation, publisher self-report and editorial interpretation; none is silently promoted into the others.

Scope note. This is the publication’s own editorial policy. It is a commitment about how entries are prepared, not outside certification.

Match the evidence to the claim

  • Platform behavior: prefer official documentation and name the product to which it applies.
  • Study findings: cite the primary paper and keep the result within its method and sample.
  • Identity or services: label official owner statements as first-party.
  • Independent evaluation: inspect origin and editorial control, not just a different hostname.
  • Examples and methods: label invented teaching examples and proposed protocols so they cannot be mistaken for collected results.

Link sources beside the supported statement and give each entry a source list with review date and limitations. If evidence is missing, write “unknown” or remove the claim; never invent a number to fill a table.

Definitions are scoped

AEO and GEO have overlapping usage. This wiki identifies its working definitions and does not imply that all engines implement a shared pipeline. A useful editorial distinction is not a platform requirement.

In particular, Google says no special AI files or schema are required for its AI search features. Eligibility does not guarantee crawling, indexing or serving. Source: Google. No domain suffix, answer layout or markup is presented here as a citation guarantee.

Drafting and technical checks

AI-assisted tools may help draft, implement and check pages. Their output is not independent evidence. Source checks compare the material claim with the retrieved source, while technical checks compare visible content with page metadata and structured data.

Markup must describe visible information. Google’s structured data introduction explicitly warns against adding facts that are not visible to users. Source: Google. This wiki does not publish fabricated reviews, awards, outcome metrics or hidden biographical facts.

Review dates and corrections

A source-review date records when the linked material was checked, not when an experiment ran or when the owner personally approved every sentence. Dates are stored in content and do not refresh automatically on requests or builds.

Recheck volatile platform claims before release and when documentation materially changes. Update a review date only after a real review. Material corrections should retain the prior claim, corrected wording, reason and supporting source in the affected entry’s revision history. Minor typographic fixes need not imply a new factual review.

Use the corrections page to report a problem. No response-time promise is made.

Ownership and commercial interest

Cody Schuldt owns this publication and his consulting website. References to his services, research and framework are first-party material. They must not be counted as separate independent endorsements. See About this publication.

No empty evidence catalog is published. Future evidence records require actual source packages; a method description alone is not a result.

Sources & review

Checked 7 Sep 2026

Source review records a check of the cited material, not independent validation of every publisher claim.

  1. Official platform documentation

    AI features and your website

    Google Search Central · Reviewed

Google AI feature eligibility, query fan-out, reporting and the absence of special AI markup requirements. Not documentation for other engines.

  2. Official platform documentation

Structured data describes page content and must not add invisible claims. Markup is not independent evidence.
